1. The Referral Scheme is open to persons aged 18 or over.
2. The Agreement forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Sultan Lloyd Solicitors reserves the right to vary the Terms and Conditions as necessary during the scheme for the purpose of introducing new rewards or for implementing other changes to the scheme, for legal or regulatory reasons, in the event of a party’s dishonesty, misuse of the scheme or failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions. Details of these changes will be posted to the Sultan Lloyd website within 30 days.
3. If the case referred to us is accepted by our solicitors within 3 months, we will pay the Referrer £50.00 by Cheque.
4. We will pay £50.00 for each successful referral even if the referrals are made by the same person. Note: a successful referral is where the case proceeds and the client has fully paid the required fee.
5. The new client referred to us must quote the reference number of the person by whom he/she is referred.
6. £50.00 will only be paid for every accepted private case referral.
7. The referral scheme does not apply to legal aid cases.
8. For the Agreement to come into force you need to sign it in person and you must bring proof of your identity (Passport, Driving Licence) OR you can send the signed Agreement to us by post with a certified copy of your Passport or Driving Licence attached. Note: Certified means you need to go to an independent solicitor to certify a true copy of your Passport or Driving Licence.
9. Sultan Lloyd Solicitors reserves the right to refuse to pay the £50.00, for any breach of these Terms and Conditions or failure by the other party to adhere to all Terms and Conditions.
10. Sultan Lloyd Solicitors reserves the right to withdraw or cancel the reference number and the Agreement for legal or regulatory reasons, in the event of the other party`s dishonesty or misuse of the Scheme (where there are reasonable grounds for suspecting dishonesty or misuse) or failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions. Seven days notice of such cancellation shall be given to the other party by post or email.
11. Sultan Lloyd Solicitors can accept no responsibility for cheques not received, which are illegible or damaged or for emails which are not received. Proof of posting, sending email or faxing is not proof of receipt.
12. Where you have informed us that you only wish to receive information by email or post, you shall be given notice by one of these methods of communication which you have specified, in relation to any conditions above refer to notices given by post or email.
13. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
